Join us for our annual look at what it takes to build a successful startup moderated by one of the Club's favorite moderators--the provocative and entertaining Guy Kawasaki. The panel of founders and CEOs from some of the Bay Area's most promising startups will discuss and debate the challenges and critical success factors to landing funding, proving long-term viability to customers, building a team, and leading a startup to the promised land. What lessons have been learned from the past? What advice do they have for future entrepreneurs?
Come prepared with your questions for this panel of entrepreneurs: Accelergy is William Chen’s third company--his previous two companies were purchased by eBay and Sybase. Dirk Gates founded Xirrus after having founded and led Xircom to annual revenues of $500 million and ultimately selling the company to Intel. After co-founding eCircles, Prescott Lee sold the website to Classmates.com and now is co-founder of FilmLoop, Inc. Martin Roscheisen has a track record of creating three best-in-category companies, each ultimately acquired by their respective industry leader for $30 million, $432 million, and $720 million. Guy Kawasaki, founder of Garage Technology Ventures, is author of eight books including "The Art of the Start," a must-read for anyone who wants to start a business.
