Once again, just in time for the holidays, the Churchill Club brings you Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher, two of the most influential journalists in technology today to lead this annual show-and-tell and discussion on the strengths and weaknesses as well as trends in consumer electronics and gadgets. The panel will talk about their favorite consumer tech products, which ones they consider worth the money and which ones are over-rated…they will name names and candidly answer your questions!
Walt Mossberg is the author and creator of the weekly "Personal Technology" column, which appears in The Wall Street Journal. He also writes "Mossberg's Mailbox" where he answers readers' questions, and edits "The Mossberg Solution," which is written by Katherine Boehret. Newsweek magazine calls him "the most powerful arbiter of consumer tastes in the computer world today."
Kara Swisher writes the popular BoomTown blog on the AllThingsDigital web site (allthingsd.com), which she runs with Mossberg. She is the author of two books on the rise and fall of AOL. The first, "aol.com: How Steve Case Beat Bill Gates, Nailed the Netheads and Made Millions in the War for the Web", and the sequel, "There Must Be a Pony in Here Somewhere: The AOL Time Warner Debacle and the Quest for a Digital Future."
Together, Mossberg and Swisher are the producers of the annual technology conference, "D: All Things Digital," where they interview industry leaders including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Meg Whitman and others, and demo new digital technology.
