Energy production options for applications such as consumer devices, electric cars, and the home continue to grow and mature, but transmission is still inefficient. Visions abound (Elon Musk envisions a battery on every house to store locally produced energy) but the Big Battery Breakthrough hasn’t yet come. In this session we’ll discuss the current state of battery technology and research, and the implications for innovation and growth in how we produce and store energy in the near- and longer-term.
