The UK’s Astronomer Royal, Lord Martin Rees, is one of the most respected cosmologists and space scientists of our time. He is based in Cambridge, where he has been Director of the Institute of Astronomy, a Research Professor, Co-founder of the Centre for the Study of Existential Risks, and Master of Trinity College. His pioneering contributions to our understanding of black holes, cosmic explosions, and the big bang have been recognized with many international awards. His current research interests range from extraterrestrial life to the multiverse.
